Technology Incubation Center at ISTT Wins 1st Place from INIC

The Iranian Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC) presented its findings on the accomplishments of domestic companies, institutions and brokers of the Nanotechnology industry during a side ceremony of the 6^th Economic Forum of Nanotechnologies. This was the 13^th annual ranking report and award ceremony to date, that distinguishes the activities of the Iranian Nanotechnology sector to the three sub-categories of industrial, technological and export oriented units and acknowledges the best achievers of each sector by an award ceremony.

The Technology Incubator at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) won the national award for Best Incubation center at this ceremony for the 6^th year running. This honor was due to the significant achievements of the companies working on nanotechnology at this technology incubator. Also, ISTT’s technology transfer officer, Iman Ghasemi, won the second place award of Best Liaising Officer.

The management of incubators at ISTT is under the responsibility of the vice presidency for technology development. This office overlooks and directs resident technology SMEs on taking advantage of the supportive platform available at ISTT.

ISTT was established with the intension to induce national economic development stemming from knowledge with the creation and support of k-based companies at its Incubation centers and S&T parks within Isfahan. It has thus become an economic and industrial pole within the province, country and region.

ISTT as the pioneering organization to have launched incubators and S&T parks in the country has attempted to create a suitable platform for the development of k-based SMEs, the commercialization of their achievements and the attraction of domestic and international investors.

At present ISTT has more than 500 companies settled at its parks and Incubators.
